Could I have another week please?
So I didn't even get a chance to blog about the end of school, packing up, going home and spending time with friends and family....and now I'm already back in Madison!!!
The turn around was WAAAAY too quick. It seems like about 12 hours ago that I was picked up 2 hours late by one Nathan Marks and one Jesse Ayala, taken to Jiffy Lube because the oil in Nathan's car needed to be changed, where we discovered that I thought he was taking me to St. Paul and he thought he was taking me to Northfield and I was getting picked up, which subsequently didn't matter because we didn't have time to go to the Cities anyway because he had to be back for his sister's choir concert, so two pit stops later we arrive in Northfield, which turns out to be A Very Small Place, as expected, we arrive at his house which is completely adorable and A Place where Nathan Marks would live, we eat pizza his parents cooked on the grill and drink milk from a bag, then drive to Northfield Middle School for the Northfield High School Spring Choir Concert, which lasts two and a half hours, made more bearable by a running cometary of the concert by me and Jesse and the fact that the Northfield Choir is actually pretty good, then we meet the extended Marks clan that has come out for the concert, we finally start to head out of Northfield until Nathan decides we have to stop at St. Olaf to see one of his friends, we wind through the campus and park and say hi to his friend for 3 minutes and then get back in the car because Nathan correctly fears my wrath, we finally get on 94 heading north, we rock out to some preeeeety quality KDWB, exit onto Randolph, Snelling, St. Clair, Vernon and I'M FINALLY HOME. 6 hours later than expected. Not a big deal.
Karma: Nathan and Jesse can't get back onto 35 because all the entrance ramps by my house are closed. Muhahahahaha.
After all that work to get home, I spent a too-short week at home catching up. It was nice to see all the friends and do some STP things. I made a little money, went to MOA, got a pedicure, got my arm scratched....The only thing I needed was another week of it all.
Bunna and I had a good drive back, and roughly 5 hours after arriving my room is entirely set up.
Whew.
